Our History
The Atlanta Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. was established to bring the vision and mission of our international organization to the metropolitan Atlanta area. Founded with the same dedication to community service, brotherhood, and leadership development that has defined Groove Phi Groove since 1962, our chapter has worked to build a legacy of positive impact across Atlanta and its surrounding communities.
For over 50 years, the Atlanta Graduate Chapter has been at the forefront of community initiatives. Our brothers have led youth mentorship programs in Atlanta Public Schools, coordinated food distribution drives for families facing food insecurity, supported educational advancement through scholarships and tutoring, and partnered with neighborhood organizations on revitalization projects. From the West End to East Point, College Park to Decatur, our service has reached every corner of the metro area.
Our chapter was built on the understanding that meaningful change begins with men willing to serve. Throughout our history, we have answered the call during times of need, providing disaster relief, supporting families during the holidays, registering voters, and mentoring the next generation of Atlanta leaders. These efforts reflect our belief that brotherhood is not only about fellowship among members but also about extending the hand of service to the broader community.
Today, the Atlanta Graduate Chapter continues this tradition. We are a diverse group of professional men, including educators, business leaders, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs, engineers, attorneys, and public servants, all united by our commitment to making Atlanta a better place for all its residents. We remain dedicated to the principles upon which Groove Phi Groove was founded: service, leadership, integrity, education, and community.
